Climate Action
Building resilience for communities on the frontlines of climate change
Climate change is one of the greatest drivers of humanitarian need. The communities HopeAid serves are among the least responsible for climate change and the most exposed to its consequences. We integrate climate resilience into all our programs -- helping communities adapt to a changing climate while advocating for the global action needed to address its root causes.
Our Climate Action Work
Climate-Resilient Livelihoods
HopeAid helps farming communities adapt to changing rainfall patterns, drought, and flooding -- through drought-resistant seeds, water harvesting techniques, and diversified income strategies.
Early Warning Systems
We work with communities to establish early warning systems for floods, droughts, and storms -- giving people the information they need to prepare and protect themselves before disasters strike.
Advocacy & Policy
HopeAid advocates at the highest levels -- at COP, at the G7, and at the UN -- for the policies and financing needed to address climate change and protect the world's most vulnerable people.
